The 2023 GMC Acadia is a midsize SUV that offers a blend of good gas mileage and a comfortable ride. The first-row and second-row seats offer ample headroom and legroom, allowing for a spacious and comfortable ride. You'll have your choice between four trims: the GMC Acadia SLE, GMC Acadia SLT, GMC Acadia AT4, and GMC Acadia Denali, each offering its own distinctive features.
Performance
The new GMC Acadia gives you a choice between two engine options. The first engine is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that generates 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The second engine is a 3.6-liter V6 that produces up to 310 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque (standard on the GMC Acadia Denali).
Both engine options come with a nine-speed automatic transmission.
All the trim levels come with standard front-wheel drive, with upgrades to all-wheel drive, except the GMC Acadia AT4 trim, which has standard all-wheel drive.
In terms of fuel economy, the first engine (the smaller of the two) offers an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 22 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway, while the larger engine gets an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 19 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway.
